Aloha Gang. Whew, what a Wild Wednesday it was yesterday. Talk about nail biters. I am just glad we all came out on the positive end. Yesterday brought our negative record out from the cellar and into the light of the positive. Now this weeks record stands at 14W-11L-1P= +18 Units.(not including the Vig) Anyways, today is Thirsty Thursdays, and it couldn't have come at a better time, as I definately need to partake in some much needed brewskis after this day is through. But until then, lets get to Spanking da Man. OH YEAH!
**6 Unit Plays on:
E WASHINGTON +2-EW is 11-1 SU and 9-2-1 ATS overall in the Conf. Weber St is 11-13 on the season and just 5-7 in Conf play. EW is scoring 73.9 ppg in league play, 10pts more than they are allowing opponents. EW is also 5-0 in Conf road games. Weber St is 2-3 in Conf home games. EW has very good momentum going, as they have won 11 in a row, and 6 straight on the road. EW beat Weber St at home by 6pts. Weber lost two of their last 3 at home. EW has to much momentum and consistancey going into this one.(LOSE)
NIAGARA -8-Niagara and Mendez will be unstoppable inside and Darden and Cruz will be unstoppable from the outside for this Marist squad to contend with. Niagara already beat this Marist squad at home by 36pts this year. Also , Marist has lost 10 of 11 games and are 3-8 ATS over that span. Niagara averages 81.1 ppg and shoots 45% from the field on the road. Marist at home only averages just 63.5 ppg and 41% from the field on their own floor. Not good news. The Niagara Falls sweeps this Marist team away.(WINNER)
SAN FRANCISCO -2-SF is 4-2 in home Conf games. Pepp is 3-2 in road Conf games this year. The Dons already spanked Pepp by 12pts at Malibu. This is an important game for the Dons, in order to get to 3rd in the Conf and a better seed in the WCC tourney. SF is a solid home team with a 10-2 SU record, with their only losses coming at the hands of St Marys and Gonzaga. Today , expect the HCA to be huge player in this one, and one reason why the Dons get the sweep of Pepp this year.(LOSE)
**4 Unit Plays on:
TENN STATE +8.5-This Tenn St have been nothing but MONEY this year covering 17-5 ATS overall and 9-3 ATS on the road. Samford is just 2-5 ATS at home. Based on the stats from the last 5 games which both these teams played, it shows Tenn St averaging 76.6 ppg while Samford is ONLY scoring 53.2 ppg during this span. I will back the more explosive Offense, especially getting all these points.(LOSE)
WASHINGTON +14-The Huskies may have lost a game they could of won at NC St, but dont think that they will be to depressed over that loss. In fact, I see them being sky high with confidence, as they should be. Wash already beat Zona at home this year. Wash 7-4 ATS on the road this year. I was worried about the Revenge Factor, but due to the recent practice fight with Stoudamaire, which may get him suspended in this one, I think the Cats minds are someplace else. This seems like a good chance for the Huskies to steal another one or at least stay within this number.(WINNER)
WRIGHT ST +12-Wright St already won as a 4pt dog by one, at home vs the Flames. Now they get 12pts. I say take it a run. Wright St is 5-1 in road Conf games. Grab the pts.(WINNER)
**3 Unit Plays on:
UTEP -1-I'll take a 20-5 team laying just 1pt vs a 13-11 team any day. La Tech good at rebounding, Utep good at scoring. Hmmm, rebounding vs scoring, I'll take scoring. Utep needs to continue winning in order to stay on top of the Conf. That is motivation enough to get this one.(WINNER)
MARQUETTE -4 -Why is this number so low? Beats me, but I'll lay 2 baskets with this Marq team that can drain it from downtown.(WINNER)
SAN DIEGO +33-OK, the Zags should totally demolish this SD squad for the first half. But it is the second half where I am hoping on catching a disinterested Zag squad just trying to get this game over with and not so much focused on the score or the fact that SD has come close enough to cover the spread. Back door cover is a big possibility, especially with this ridiculously high number. With 33-0 to start the game, I take them points any day.(WINNER)
**Ok Gang, I may have a few more plays later, so check back if anyone is interested. Todays lineup may lack the real big name teams, but these small conferences still have quality athletes who play with just as much energy and enthusiasm as the Big Boys do, and I love it. Good Luck to All today, and like always remain positive and only positive will follow. Aloha Co-Captain.
